Hello

Hi,
This post comes straight from the heart of BP(Bhramaputra Appts.) Noida.
I'm here to attend a Seminar on Judicial Reforms being organized by Supreme Court bar Association with Kaustubh.
The ASS has gone galavanting round town for some errand. The house is full with his family and friends from out of town.
Bought few books today...The Hungry Tide by Amitav Ghosh, To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee and Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie.
Let's see how it turns out to be. Its not been even 24 hrs. out of college and I'm already missing the place. Let's see if I'm able to manage an internship while in Delhi. A difficult task, but the Seminar seems to be just the right place to try. Lall Lahiri & Salhotra seems to be out.

Some Times

Sometimes things just seem to go out of hand... Sometimes people just stir a storm in a tea cup... Sometimes your near and dear ones just refuse to understand what you say... Sometimes the ones who matter just loose their top for no fault of yours...
Sometimes 'FRIENDS' have the odacity to say "WOH DOST HAI ISLIYE MAINE KUCH NAHI KAHA, KOI AUR HOTA TO MAIN DEKH LETA". For them I have only this to say, its no big deal to be misunderstood... it dosen't really matter, nothing you, as a friend it was a duty to do so, if you wanna jump off the cliff. Go ahead, be my guest.

Hey Daff, common sense and maturity are two attributes that are pretty uncommon now a days.

Vahishta Mistry said... hey man, whats up... i didn't know you were into gaming. we have got to meet up sometime and go gaming, it'll be a blast!

Hey Vanish,

Gaming at AIL

One thing that Army Institute of Law can boast of is about its gamers. Gaming is a hardcore tradition at AIL, and one can always see atleast half a dozen comps always occupied by this species. They'll beg, they'll threat they'll use every trick in the book to catch hold of that elusive comp on which the game is loaded.

Here are a few games that AIL is nuts about...
AGE OF EMPIRES

Did you know they tried having a tournament of it with league matches, semi-finals, finals... the works. Although it never finished (damn holidays came in the way) but for some time the guys were just ga-ga over it.

With player names like ASHOKA, TALIHAN, CYCLOPS, ELEMENTS and BHULLAR, this is one game that's here to stay (AOE dosen't have great graphics or anything, the best thing about it is that you and your military strategy can work wonders, especially when you are pitted against another player).

GLOBAL OPS

Another game that's hot property in AIL at the moment. Although, we haven't been able to smooth out the chinks in the multiplayer version, but we are getting there.

One of my favourites, is Sri Lanka as a terrorist. MAJOR KILL.

PROJECT IGI

One Beautiful Game, Graphics are good, U really have to rake your brain while working on this one.

Something for the serious gamer, the one who likes to wait and watch, take his time before moving in for the kill. Maybe that is why it didn't catch up with the masses who like the "ALL GUNS BLAZING" concept.

DELTA FORCE

Long time no see... It was good while it lasted. The only reason I think it didn't last was that guys got bored of its shareware version.

Maybe, if we had the full version, it would have carried on.

QUAKE

UNREAL TOURNAMENT

Well here are a few of our favourite games. And how can one forget the ladies favourite "SOLITAIRE". Nice game to pass time when the net speed is slow.

My Friends

I have been fortunate enough to have the greatest set of friends that a person can ever ask for. They have stood by me, taken my bull shit, lent me a shoulder to cry on when I needed one, helped me, guided me, been there for me whenever I needed them.
It is said that friends are more important than family because they are the ones that you choose and not the ones you are issued with by the one up above
A better set is not possible in this lifetime and that's for certain...
Thank You Guys For Being My Friends

FOR PRIYA

A friend of my girl friend asked me why I don't write her 'LOVE LETTERS'. Well ... firstly because I'm not the pen and paper guy, secondly I ain't that creative ... well sweetie, this is all that I could come up with...

Remember the song GUDIYA... this is what you mean to me.

He came, he saw he conquered

Had the opportunity to listen to Soli J. Sorabjee today, who is arguably the only living authority on constitutional law. The man was fit and fighting for his 75 years. His speech on PIL was awe inspiring. Has to be ... the man argued in Keshvananda Bharti. What else can you expect from him but a sea of knowledge.

His comment that "PIL cannot cure all ILLS" was the best.

Hats off to you BAWAJI...

Wingate Panga(Funda)...

The College has got some funny software to monitior what students see and what they ought not to see on the net. Besides being an unnecessary restricion on our freedom of choice, it is also a nuisance. Stock Exchange site will not open bcause Sensex has got the word sex in it. I was trying to access my geocities account sometime back, and the Pursight Wingate thing popped up. Supposedly, there is 30% chances of geocities being sexual in nature. In a Law School how are you supposed to do in depth research on sensitive topics like RAPE, Murder etc. if u have to keep running to the Computer technician to disable it time and again. Somebody please take notice.

SOME PEOPLE...

I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR AN ANNOYING FEMALE RAVE ON AND ON BOUT SOME CRAP BULL SHIT BOUT INDIATIMES GREETINGS AT THE MOMENT. SOME PEOPLE ARE SO STUCK UP IN THEIR SMALL IDIOTIC WORLDS THAT THEY NEVER GET THE BIGGER PICTURE. THE FEMALE HAS THE ODASITY TO SAY THAT SHE AIN'T INTERESTED IN SOLI SORABJEE... HELL THE PROFESSION OF LAW AIN'T INTERESTED IN HER... IF YOU EVER GET TO READ THIS POST... THEN ... MA'AM PLEASE GROW UP. SHOUTING AND RAVING AT THE TOP OF YOUR VOICE IN THE COMP LAB. DOSEN'T MEAN THAT U R HEP OR IN. IT ONLY SEEMS LIKE A DESPERATE PLEA FOR ATTENTION.

Just finished up with this

Bunker 13... the only thing that I can say bout the book is that if your interested in reading a James Bond story... desi ishtyle. This is for you. With lots of guns that the Indian Army can only dream of, a good smattering of sex and espionage RAW style is a lame attempt to push the book down your throat. Anyways, if books are something that you read for the heck of it, not for something that appeals to you, that makes the read worthwhile... go ahead make your day.

The fresh air of the blog world...
